Default Re: Digestive Conscisous Foods

I've heard of probiotics, but I have not heard of prebiotics. Was that a typo, or do some people say it differently? Raw fruits and veggies are wonderful for digestion because they contain enzymes that help break down the food. Yogurt is wonderful too because it helps put good bacteria back into your stomach.

My youngest child had GERD and I was able to get him off the medication (Prevacid) by feeding him more raw fruits and veggies and giving him a digestive enzyme each time he eats a meal without raw foods. I used to give him probiotics also, but he loves yogurt, so he really doesn't need them.

There is a brand called LiveActive that makes cereals with prebiotics and whole grain wheat for those of you who are interested.
