Don't know if anyone has mentioned this or not but anything that has a standby mode or a transformer that is warm when the device is not on it is still using power. Cable boxes are a big one, mine is always hot even when it's not on and it's using quite a bit of power even though I only use it an hour or two a day. So unplugging electronic devices and chargers when you aren't using them can save a lot of power over a years time.
