Pressure cookers are the ONLY way to cook. They dont fry though, I use my cast iron skillet for that. I have 2 vintage prestos, 1 is from the 1940s and the other is from the 1970s, both work great! I saw some new ones at the store they seem flimsy to me. Id suggest getting a used older presto, you can get the sealing rings at ACE hardware for under $10
