We are expecting our third child in a few months and we are going to be using cloth diapers or nappies as you call them. We didn't with our first two children but we are more environmentally aware now. If you figure the cost of making the diaper, shipping the diaper and then the disposal cost I'd assume it would be a lot higher then doing a load or two of diapers a week in a HE washer. We also plan to hang dry our diapers as well we make our own laundry soap so that saves the environment even more. Not to mention the cost savings. The cost of our cloth diapers will probably be about $150. When we were using disposable it was about $80 a month. It's a win win situation.
