Thank you to Raptor for holding this contest. I received the lights today, and have put them up.

For those wondering how I won this since I am a moderator, and we are not allowed to enter contests, I won this before I was given moderator status.

So now, I've put the lights up, and here's a pic of them.

I sure hope they come too. The site is growing daily and that's a very good thing. More incentives should help to bring more people in, not to mention more advertising.

Happy holidays everyone!

Hi there,
I just joined and I wanted to comment on this before I got caught up in viewing other posts and searching for ways to contribute.

Horselover - your comment included "free is always good." I beg to disagree. Free is good, but not always...what if the government gave you a free nuclear waste site in your backyard? Or a neighbor gave you a free car that polluted the earth? Of course, as we are humans, we are almost always capable of turning something that was bad into something that wasn't so bad. Okay, I am going on far too long with this. Free is not always good.

You're right. My bad. I guess I wasn't thinking about the bad things when I said that. I'll have to figure out a way to rephrase that one.

Default Our First Holiday Contest!!!

Hey Everyone, first we would like to thank everyone for joining our growing community. We’ve enjoyed great growth over the past month and we can’t thank you enough. As a gesture of our appreciation we will be launching our very first contest. VERY EXCITING Since the holiday season is just around the corner, we thought it would be appropriate to have holiday themed prizes. Two lucky winners to get a gift that will make your Christmas greener and bring a little cheer to your life

Prize #1\n
Solar Snowman Stake
\n
Solar snowman stake contains solar panel; stake can be rotated towards sun

Prize #2\n
Noma Outdoor 70 Mini Icicle LED Light Set, Multi-Coloured
\n
Outdoor 70 mini icicle LED lights provide 80-90% energy savings compared to conventional lighting

Contest Rules:
  • The rules are simple, the two people with the most new member referrals will win. You might have noticed we’ve added new statistics at the bottom of the forum, you’ll see one empty column for referrals. We’re hoping to fill this up
  • How do I get a referral? It’s really quite simple, go into your User Control Panel (User CP) at the bottom left column you’ll see Invites, enter your friend’s names and email address and click Send Invite That simple, takes a minute and you’re done OR
Tell a friend about the site when they register they input your member name as the member who referred them That’s it
  • The first person to the top(with the most referrals) will have the right of choice for their prize.
Contest ends Dec 1st, so hurry and get those invites sent If you have any questions post them here and we’ll get them answered. Thanks everyone and good luck 
