Default Evidence of Climate change?

The south east of England was covered by freak snow storms over last weekend. These 3 photos were taken by my at 8am on Sunday morning in the centre of London.

I've not seen proper settled snow in the Capital since i was a small child many years ago... but that was in December, January.. this is APRIL!

The light was very gloomy and there was absolute silence... The poor daffs are frozen solid in the foreground, and there are a couple of forlorn little ducks paddling about at the far end of the pond, but because i have reduced the size quite a bit you can't see them here...

Sorry about the quality, I took these with my mobile phone..

That's really Central London? Whoo! You're right, there's never snow like that in the City.

Wow, thanks for sharing those. I don't think I have ever seen pictures like these of Central London. You're right though does show something is up with the climate.

As I was scanning the pics I was thinking where is this; it looks familiar. I try to see all sides (really) but you have to be some kind of perverse headslapper to deny global warming.

Sorry about that, guess I'm a bit of a headslapper myself. I meant to say climate change, not global warming, but I think in a roundabout way that term is correct also. But, folks at home, the word is Climate Change.

Wow. I remember a freak snow storm in early May about two or three years ago and our backyard was covered in white while crickets were still chirping at the same time. Something gets you when you see familiar scenes turned around. It's really frightening.

Global warming and Climate change are parts of the same thing Molly, so either term is correct methinks.

London sits in it's own protective little basin, and mostly avoids the bad weather even in our temperate little isle, this is why this came as such a shock.. The sun came out around 11.30am and all the snow was completely gone by 1pm..

This is Broomfield Park by the way..

I reckon if all the water that's fallen here in the last two days was snow then we'd be burried by now! There's definately something weird about the weather this year. Friends of ours are already out of water in their village. Scary news for April.

Even just the way in which winters and summers have been so out of the ordinary in the last few years is strange enough to me. When I was a kid there used to always be heavy snow for Christmas but now we're lucky to have even drizzle by that time. It's very strange.

Green Moo, my family in Cyprus already have a water crisis. There was no rain over the winter, and water is now rationed. The water is switched on for only an hour each morning and an hour in the evening. All the lemon trees in my auntie's garden are dying and the figs will probably not fruit this year.
