I don't know, the first one was a joke, why not make the second one too?

He's a complete fraud who needed some money and a way to occupy his time. He's as much of a hypocrite as you can get.

its ashame all the stuff that has come out about him... with all the money he has why would his house not be off the grid? why does he drive large SUV's? why does he even live in such a huge house?

he talks the talk but does not walk the walk!

but like i said, the book did spark my interest in the planet... atleast the severity of what people are doing to it...
so in that regard atleast his book has helped some

I've not seen the first one yet, though I did get hold of it the other day after reading a discussion about it. I'll have to get on and find a couple of hours to watch it, if there's another following on it's heels.

I will say that he has done a good job of bringing this out into the open and getting people to talk about this subject. I have not read to much as to how he lives his private life so I cannot really comment on that.

I can, and I do. However, I don't normally expect folk to be posting pi$$ take links on a serious topic so hadn't looked at the original link, taking it at face value.

Are you normally this rude?

As it happens, I've just finnished watching An Inconvenient Truth (prompted by this thread, oddly). I thought it was pretty good actually. I don't really care about the size of the guy's car or house, and there will always be disagreements between 'experts'. As far as I'm concerned, if it can convince just a few people who watch it to modify their behaviour then surely that's a positive thing?
