It seems like climate change could cause confusion in some birds as to when it's time to head out. Increasing temperatures have been shown to affect the migration patterns of a quarter of the 32 species studied, says a new report out.

Late fall, early winter we were amazed to see a hummingbird flying around in our back yard! He seemed a little bigger than the regular small hummingbirds, but other than that he was normal, except he was flying around the Oregon coast looking for some flower nectar. We must have seen him several times for about two weeks, and then he vanished. Poor little thing.
