Default Space sunshade

Dr. Roger Angel want to make a "space sunshade" to sheild the earth from the sun, and to redirect some of the light and heat coming to the planet.
Here is some info/links
Space sunshade might be feasible in global warming emergency

BBC NEWS | In pictures: Global sunshade, Introduction

I was watching something on the tv about this and the biggest problem they said was the price and getting the lensess into space. I ponder why not build them in space? Do you think this could work? Why or why not? Is it fessable? Why or why not? What are the major problems with this idea? What is the best part of this idea?

I would hope that they could do this.

Solar radiation is becoming a big concern now.

I find this idea a bit disturbing. But fascinating. What are the pros? the cons? I want to learn more.

I would guess it's hard to predict how something will interact with what's already in space. Will it disturb anything or be damaged by something, for example.

That was what I was wondering if the 10% of the suns radiation is beamed elsewhere what if any effects would it have in space? It is and interesting idea though.

I had not heard of this before now, but I think that it's an excellent idea. I think they should try.

It would be expensive and would take a lot of effort and many countries would have to work together I imagine.

That's a great idea, I agree, but the problem is how to get it in space. I also think that the cost would be extremely prohibitive!
