I love the candles, but they don't work as stated on T.V. They take a lot longer to melt. But they are nice to smell, however, they don't work for the entire room, just a very small area around them.

My mum insists on using one of those plug in air fresheners and I can't stand it, it makes my asthma really bad. I don't use air fresheners, I tend to just open the window, but I do have an air freshener in a pump spray 'just in case'.

This is kind of related as it has to do with overpowering scent. I can't stand women who reek of their favourite perfume; what's even worse is the ones who have the scent in powder, bath salts, etc and they use all of them at the same time! Men can be just as bad with their aftershave and deodorants. It seems like alot of meeting places and waiting rooms are asking folk to not use scents, but they must think it doesn't apply to them!

Molly, I have the same sort of problems with strong smelling aftershave and perfume, I find it hard to breathe. I have three teenagers and they tend to over do the 'smellies' when they are going out, I can't make them understand that 'less is more'.

Unfortunately I think that's a lesson that most teenagers have to find out on their own!

I agree that overpowering scents are never good though. Even those sprays used to aid hair straightening pack such a punch and smell so thickly of chemicals even though they're designed to be 'pleasant'.

These days I'm in need of a freshener in our car as my kiddo really loves to poop in the car on our way to any place. We did buy some of the fresheners as we were not able to sustain the smell any further.
