I don't really thing you need to iron clothes after they've been hung up but it really is just a personal choice. You'll get roughly the same result as if you had put them in the dryer so ironing ends up being a matter of taste I suppose.

Great, thanks for the input. I was wondering, what kind of outdoor lines do you recommend? I have seen the lines that retract and then the ones that turn. Any opinions?

I think that depends on your space available and personal choice really. The rotary ones are good if you're short of space, but just stretching piece of rope between two solid objects will do just as good a job, is far cheaper & does not require manufacturing!

I've always just used a piece of rope as suggested. The rotary lines are good if you want the option to be able to pull clothes on the line toward you but are probably unnecessary for most people.

I think I may go with just the rope as it is easier to remove when not in use. Thanks for your input!

A bit of rope between my fig trees does the job for me. I untie one end and pile it up out of the way when we are in the garden.. job done..

I to have just gone with your basic rope. I am forever losing my clothes pins though. Drives me nuts that I cannot seem to keep them in one place. You think it wouldn't be all that hard to do.

Haha, clothes pins are my greatest problem with hanging clothes out as well. No matter how hard I try to keep track of them I always seem to lose them by the handful! It's irritating to always be buying them for sure.

Oh yeah, I will need to get some clothes pins. Oh I can already see my little ones making "crafts" with these. LOL
Thanks for all the ideas everyone!

I have something like this in my laundry room for rainy days or extra stuff that won't fit on the two lines outside (small stuff)...

The Invisible Clothesline | Drys Your Clothes Inside and Outside

And one of these, but I use this indoors....

5-line Outdoor Retractable Clothes Dryer

And I have two of these outside and love them...
