Re: Earth hour
Funny cause growing up my Father would walk around the house saying "What do you think I work for the electric company?" while he turned off lights.
Now... I'm paying for that electricity and it ain't cheap plus I realize we need so much less light than we think we do.
I'm also walking around the house saying the same thing to my girlfriend, laughing inside of course. I'll say "You're not still in the bedroom are you?" as I ask her while she's sitting in the living room.
Ahhhh, if my Papa could hear me he'd laugh.

Re: Earth hour
Déjà vu! My mother used to do the same thing to me. Now I take care of her, she's 89 years old, and follow her around turning off lights. You think she's trying to get even with me? :-)

Re: Earth hour
I hear you GreenBean! I sound so much like my parents these day, chasing my kids around! Next I'll be accusing them of treating this place as a hotel :-)

Re: Earth hour
I believe they call that hereditary behavior! Did what your parents ever say, "Just wait, you'll have one just like yourself when you're my age and I'll get my revenge." If you did, next time the grandparents come by to visit, try watching them with your kids. Believe me, those are not the people that raised you.

Re: Earth hour
I know that feeling as well. My parents used to do the same thing and I always just thought they were being annoying until I started paying my own utility bills and realizing how right they are!

Re: Earth hour
Shoulder and he never listen to their parents about the important things like paying bills. But when they grow up they wish they had. It's just the way life is and we're all the same.
