It can get over 110 degrees here in the summer, but the hottest it has ever been inside my house without a/c is 92. I think I could live without an a/c in the summer, but my family would complain.

Hey Justontime:
I'm guessing if you don't need a/c, heating is a consideration for you in the colder months. What do you use for heat in the UK? My house is a partial berm, which means it is partly underground. This is supposed to reduce heating and cooling costs. We have a gas heater. The person that built it also installed a woodburning stove in the garage that could potentially heat the entire house, since it is connected to the air vents also. We don't use the woodburning stove because our homeowner's insurance almost doubles if we do. ![]() Last edited by mom2manyboyz : 07-20-2008 at 03:38 PM. |
