Default what needs to be done?

alright, you're president bush, what's the plan?
everyone (including myself) is upset with the current enviromental actions (or lack there of) the goverment has been taking.. so what would u do in thier shoes?

i think it would be tricky to get people to change their lifestyle without mass resistants... but change is definately needed... and now! so i think i would begin with making energy conservation *interesting* to the public by impacting them where they notice.. in the wallet!

1. hybrid cars.. large tax break and push for cities to give 1/2 off for parking of hybrids..

2. immediate 8 cylinder tax.. if u don't NEED an 8 cylinder vehicle for work, you have to pay an ANNUAL tax of lets say $500. this is for all of those people that drive huge SUV's that don't need them and cadalicas with V-8's when a V-6 would do the job.. the money would go to off set other tax breaks...

3. going green tax breaks... tax breaks for green roofs and renewable energy such as solar/wind on residental homes..

this is just a few ideas to get the average joe to conserve.. dosn't address the big factories, just getting the conversation started...
