Default Saving Energy

Has anyone gone through a process of replacing all their bulbs in the house to be energy efficient? How do the energy bills change on monthly basis?

Our energy bills are sky high no matter what we do. Of course there are 3 people in our house. We do have the energy saving bulbs, and I'm sure we'll see a difference at some point, but we put them in when we moved in, so who knows.

I'm sort of in the same boat. I use fluorescent bulbs for most of mine, but did it when I moved in, so I have no basis for comparison. On the other hand, when I cut way back on air conditioner use last summer, it was very obvious on my bill.

the bulbs i changed were not enough to notice a big change... maybe 5 to 10 dollars at the most... its when u start adding up the savings over the course of their 5 year expected life span that u notice the savings..
stepper is right in that by using the big appliances less is where the immediate $$$ savings will be noticed.
