Re: Angel hair for kids
We do this. I donated something like 15 inches my first time, and since then I've donated smaller amounts. My hair grows fairly quickly and it's nice to give back.

Re: Angel hair for kids
Mine's starting to become a hassle at work, so I need to cut it off soon.
If anyone knows where I can promote a fund raising campaign, I'd like to know.

Re: Angel hair for kids
Horselover, i use an online donations service when i fund raise for cancer research... find out if these people a re accepting online donations, and set up a webpage for yourself. Then add the link to your signature in all the forums you visit..
here is a link to my last fundraising opage.. i got donations from all over the world, and with no hassle about collecting.

Re: Angel hair for kids
you're welcome hoselover.. it is worth a look if you want to seriously fundraise for charity.. It makes it easier for people to donate, so you manage to pick up a few who perhaps might be embarrassed to contact you directly for a small amount... any value can be donated..

Re: Angel hair for kids
The site wont work for me as I'm in Canada, and there's no sister site for it.
But it's the thought that counts.

Re: Angel hair for kids
I wish I would have known about donating hair a few years ago. I could sit on my hair. But due to my disability I was unable to care for and had to have it cut off. Now my hair is very, very short. I had about 20 inches cut off.

Re: Angel hair for kids
Wow, that's a lot to cut off. I'm not sure exactly how long mine is, but it's 3/4 of the way down my back.
Thanks for looking stav, I don't have a whole lot of time with work going on.
