So, I was looking forward to going on this trip, but now my van died and I can't work unless I get it fixed.

So now the dilemma is the cost of getting the damn thing fixed, and it's leaving me in a lurch, even with the money I have saved. If I get the car fixed, I can't pay the rent.

It sounds like the alternator is shot, and I really can't afford to fix it and pay my rent and pay my bills.

It's going to cost me about $300 to get it fixed and I don't know where I'm going to come up with the money for it.

Well, turns out, it's the starter, it's replaceable, and it's going to be fixed today, at a cost of 3 days worth of pay.

So, I think the trip is still on, as long as the weather is nice and nothing else happens to the bloody van.

As if nothing else could go wrong, I was told that both gaskets on my oil tank need to be replaced, that's what caused the starter to die.

Now I'm being told that it's a fire hazzard because the oil is leaking like crazy(over exateration).

But that's going to cost me even more to fix, but that will come after the trip, which is going to be less than we planned as I don't want to drive too far or too long.

We're only going to hit Cedar Point and forget the other parks.

I really hope that everything works out and that you have no more trouble with your van and that the weather stays nice. Sounds like you need a vacation.
