Do you walk?
I think most people nowadays don't walk. We get p in the morning, get ready, sit in the car, zoom to our office, sit in front of the pc, chat, have meetings, discuss things, sip coffee provided by a person at our desk, ge back in the evening, sit in front of the television and then go to sleep.
When did we walk?
I hope some of you do not have this regime and do consider walking as a part of your daily routines because it is definitely one of th best ways to stay fit.

Re: Do you walk?
I get up in the morning, get ready for work, sit in the car for an hour to get to work. Pick up my boss, go to a job site, or multiple sites during the day, and walk for at least 6 hours.
Get back in the car, drive my boss home, drive home myself, then relax until the next day.
I do this up to 7 times a week.

Re: Do you walk?
what is this 'walking' of which you speak? it sounds pretty dangerous to me without the proper training.

Until the snow comes down in buckets, usually December, I try to walk to work as often as possible. I like this season when I can shuffle through the leaves.

Re: Do you walk?
walking does not need any training just enogh persuasion to neglect the vehicles for a while and use the two legs more often to reach your destinations...

Re: Do you walk?
As much as I hate winter, I'll be out walking in it when it snows.
I can't sit behind the wheel of a plow truck the entire time I'm helping to clear snow.

Re: Do you walk?
I like to walk on my lunches. Then my lunch tastes even better when I get back. I only walk for about 20 minutes, but it helps!

I look forward to the snow. Last year I bought a pair of good snowshoes with ski poles. We have a long green space that begins right behind our home and I take advantage of it Winter and summer. In summer I walk, in Winter I snowshoe!
Younger people might want to try cross-country skis. I now have trouble maintaining my balance, that's why I've given up on the bike and skis. Riding a bike is great exercise but I really did not like competing with auto traffic. I preferred off-road mountain biking.

Some people do the walking after the meals...but if it suits you then anytime is fine. I am sure after sitting for a long while it feels good to tke a walk and get really hungry for the meal...
