Thumbs down This is a political Rant!!

Here in Toronto:

What gives politicians the right to b!tch and complain about how much money they make? I'm sitting on the subway looking at a guy who looks like Adam Vaughn from City News. Knowing that he has now entered the world of politics, it's why I decided to write this.(I started to write this on the subway last night).

Politicians, who make well over $100,000 per year have no right to complain about the money they make. The average person in T.O makes minimum wage or a little higher, which averages to less than $30,000 per year. I myself make less than $20,000: I boarder on the poverty line, or just above it. So why do they complain about their earnings when the average joe barely gets by?

Policitians are trying to trash a private bill which would see Ontario's minimum wage raised to $10/hr. Why? It would help many people live better lives. The quality of life for some Torontonians is that of some developing nations: shabby at best. You have to ask why that is.

It's because the working stiff's wage is poor at best. Minimum wage is not enough to live on. I make just over minimum and bring home about a grand a month. I have rent and utilities to pay and food to buy. Transportation is $84 per month. Of course, most other people do the same thing, I'm not the only one with the same expenses. I'm just saying that less than $10/hr doesn't cut it anymore. My gas bill alone is $120 per month! And that's for 2 people turning the gas heat down almost 10 degrees 4 nights a week!!

So why do they complain?? They live in owned, high end houses, drive expensive cars and eat at fancy restaurants. The rest of us? Most of us rent, some drive low end, gas guzzlers, while others rely on transit. A lot of Torontonians rent run-down apartments, or like me, an old house. It's not much for rent, but with the bills, it does add up. With the cost of utilities increasing all the time, sone enough, most of us won't be able to affor rent, bills, food, etc.

Again, why do they complain?
