Exclamation Biodegradable icemelt

I was slaving away during the storm the other day, and I found my crew to be using this Landscapers Choice - Salt Depot - GTA Wholesale Salt Suppliers, a great ice melting product, good for the environment.

It was interesting stuff to use, smelled like vinegar.

The only downside really was that it turned my hands green when I used it.

I'd like to track this down if I can without having to be a full time landscape employee to get it.

I have never heard of this product before. I would love to find out where you can get it also? I could have used this during this last ice storm that we had. It was awful.

That's why we were using it, because the ice was so bad we couldn't shovel it without it.

In the morning, the ice was falling off the buildings in chunks, it was quite scary.

Try googling it. That's the only thing I can suggest for you to do. I live in Phoenix, we don't have to worry about snow. Although around Christmas time I wish we did have snow.

I am going to see what I can find on this today. Getting hit with a snowstorm at the moment. Don't expect electricity for long. I am so ready for winter to end.

I live in the GTA as well so I'm going to try to find some. Also one of my friends is a landscaper so I'll pass on the information to him as well. I've seen the green slush before and wondered where it came from but now I know so thanks.

Let the rest of us know. If I ever move to snowy country again I will definitely want to use it. The only thing I remember using, when I was a kid living in Colorado, was rock salt. And I understand that is not too good for plants.

Yeah, I've heard that rock salt isn't too good for the environment. It's nice to know about this biodegradable icemelt just because I used to think that the green slush was a sign of chemical salt being used rather than knowing that it was actually a more environmentally responsible alternative.

I just think it's ironic. One, it's something that looks like it's not good for the environment. And two, its green. Because the green doesn't look like it's something that you would want to use. I wonder if they made it that color on purpose? :-)

I'm not sure how long this has been available.

Check the link, it gives you a list of places that it's sold.

I found out that there's a place not far from where my husband works where I might be able to get it.

But I need to know that you don't have to be a landscaper in order to get it.
