Re: Eco-Friendly Alternatives to Store Bought Wrapping Paper
Thanks for the link!
One thing my family does is use gift bags, which are re-used until they are in poor shape. It's easier to wrap, too, and looks less sloppy when you're a poor wrapper like me.

I've wrapped using the comics page before!!
It's great to use old paper bags, too, and have the kids paint or draw on them.

We use strategically chosen sections of the newspaper, like pretty pictures from the travel section or fashion pages. We've also used cut outs from old Christmas cards on paper bags or shoe boxes.

I love the idea of using old comic pages, for a larger gift plain paper with comic strips cut out and stuck on randomly would look great.

Re: Eco-Friendly Alternatives to Store Bought Wrapping Paper
I usually use the comic pages to wrap all my son's gifts. They actually get a kick out of it. Thanks for the link.

The newspaper one gives it a sort of kitchy fun feel. If you use twine as the ribbon on the black and white newspaper, it gives it an earthy sort of feel.
My sister makes tiny jewelry gift boxes out of old cards.

Re: Eco-Friendly Alternatives to Store Bought Wrapping Paper
We reuse gift bags, I will stock up on wrapping paper at Christmas time then use it throughout the year, I just flip it so the white side shows, then let the kids decorate it.

Grandparents would adore a gift wrapped in brown grocery bags with grandkid's artwork, hand prints, etc.
