regarding junk mail, mine is non existent since i signed up to MPS (Mail Protection Service) They have my name and address on a list, that prevents the junk mailers sending to me.. The idea being that if i get something unsolicited, and i report it, those people will be prosecuted. Works for tele marketeers too... Very rarely do i get a double glazing seller type on my phone... and if i do.. i say, who are you again? do you know i am a member of TPS and its illegal for you to phone me? I have joined these too and it made a very big difference to the amount of junk mail that I get. The only problem with the Telephone Preference Service is that it can't stop international 'junk' calls, but I make my feelings very clear to them.

Interesting. I hadn't heard reducing referred to as precycling before. I will remember this. Great tips, by the way. I wonder if they have a mail list like this in the US. I get tired of calling each company directly to make sure my name is taking off the mailing list. We have laws against telephone telemarketers, but they are state, not federal laws and you have to be on our state's "do not call," list.

Somehow we are getting inundated once again with junk mail, but of a different kind; I think someone must have sold our address again. I will have to find that handy web address again and remind them I don't want junk. Would anyone have that web address?

I wonder the simple things that the people who collect the trash in US consider. I check out the recycling vehicle that comes to collect something that can be recycled and later comes the vehicle to collect the regular trash.

Yeah haha, a vehicle to specially recycle would be exactly what this country needs.
