Default Reusing Plastics

Does anyone reuse plastic around there home? I've thought of reusing plastic containers, plastic milk jugs for various gardening activities, and reusing plastic bags as packing material. Does anyone have reuse for other plastics?

Yes, definitely all of the above. We use them for tons of different things. I can't really think of any other plastics that I even buy, though.

I DO try to avoid buying plastic. A lot of people don't realize it leaches into your food. There are some plastics that I can't avoid though.

The majority of the plastics in my recycle can include, yogurt containers, packing material from amazon.com, vinegar jugs, etc.

I don't buy plastic containers also. I do reuse plastic bags and containers when I can.

I reuse plastic containers and plastic bags when I cannot avoid them to begin with. The one thing that really bugs me is the packing material mentioned above. Sometimes I feel that they use way to much plastic when they send things out.

I try and limit the plastic that comes into the house, but it seems to follow me regardless! I reuse plastic bags and plastic bottles until they are damaged. Plastic pots get used as plant pots or scoops, and any plastic pot with a lid gets used for something too. This year I've made our cloches out of scrap plastic that I picked up by the recycling bins.

Absolutely. They do use too much packaging material. Lately, amazon has been sending those inflatable plastic squares. I just pop them and roll them into a ball of flattened plastic. Such a waste though.

Green Moo:

Thanks for responding. I always learn from your posts. What is a cloche? I can't figure that out
