Thumbs up SAVE FOREST by uploading christmas tree photo

unfortunately Christmas is not the greenest time of the year. if you’ve cut or bought a tree for Christmas i would suggest donating to one of the tree planting organizations. however, it’s possible to save 1 sq. foot of forest just by sharing your decorated Christmas tree photo on the world map here: WORLDCHRISTMASTREE COM Hope the goal of 100 000 sq. feet of forests saved is reached this Christmas..

Thanks for the link, it is an interesting site. We have had the same artificial tree for years, it still looks good and it causes much less mess than a real one.

What a great idea. This will certainly help re-supply the tree population. Thank you for the link.

I like this site it is a good idea and if it makes a small contribution to saving the environment, then it must be good.

I buy my tree from IKEA because they donate some of the proceeds to an organization that replants. The problem is, if I buy an artificial one, that encourages the production of more petrochemicals and other harmful synthetics. I'd rather encourage tree planting. I would ideally prefer a live potted tree, but I have no balcony or garden.

I just saw something today that would suit people like me who appreciate real trees but don't have a balcony or garden.. .It's rent a reusable tree, and I think the program featured was in England. You pay to rent a live tree for about a week ( and are given special plant food), then someone comes and picks it up and brings it back to a tree farm and you can have the same tree next year. No tree recycling required. I wonder if the program exists in North America.

First off, Christmas trees generaly do not come from forest. Christmass trees come from christmass tree farms, secondly when these bussness sell a tree of there farm it is replaced in the spring, how else would they continue to make there money? Christmass trees do not, generaly lead to deforestzation.

sorry I was going to edit this but I can not copy and paste out into word to spell check it. Should have first posted this in word then pasted it over her at AMP. Regards -mick-
ps. Long time no talk
*hugs*

I am well! Better. Thank you Stav. How have you been? I have been busy immersing myself in books, fighting for secularism, school, and spending time with my girlfriend. Now that I mention her, I am actually doing fantastic.
Many, many changes in me since the last time we spoke, I finally admitted I was an atheist, I switched my major to psychology(again), as i mentioned above I have a girlfriend now, I find my self happily saying "no" to my old habits, ironically it was my addiction to a prescription I was forced to take that made me finally get that I wanted to get that out of my life. Wow that came out cryptic.

Since I am assuming you are going to ask, and for the benefit of other readers of this post who know me, I will so kindly tell you about my girlfriend.( I know right, had to bend my arm back wards for that) So as you may know I attend a community college in New Jersey, well one day I was distracting my friend from his physics homework that he was doing with this girl from his class, so I ended up distracting her too!!!

So her name is Jasmina, she is Bosnian, but was born in Croatia, and spent some time living in Germany before her and her family moved to the states.
She is Islamic(makes her sound exotic)
She is a biology major.
She is very cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And I love her!!!

What to know more of her? About what has been going on in my life?
Sorry for the derail.
PS I downloaded ieSpell!!!

Sorry but that is madness. There is a lot of transport involved in doing that, in England we have our trees up for about 4 weeks, our houses are heated at Christmas and special food or not they would collect a very sad half dead tree. If people want a tree buy one grown for the purpose, put it in your garden waste recycling bin after Christmas (ours is collected from the kerb side), the recycling centre will compost it and more trees will be grown as future Christmas trees.
