Talking Newbie from Canada

Hello all! This looks like an interesting board. I'm an old guy from central BC (British Columbia). I live in the middle of an environmental disaster caused by global warming so I'm certainly aware of it.

I do have one problem with this board that perhaps someone can help me with. The posts are wider than my screen! How do I change that?

Welcome to the forum.

I'm not sure why the posts are wider than your screen, you may want to try changing your screen resolution size and see if that helps.

Thanks for the reply! I see you have just found a new home in Scarborough. I hope you are all settled in and happy there. How is the job search going?

RE: Page width of posts. I thought it might be because I'm using the Firefox browser so I looked at it with Outlook Express and it's also too wide on that browser. I belong to several other boards and don't have a problem with them. I'm sure it's something simple that I could correct while at this site but I'm not all that good with computers, so I'll need some advice on that. In the meantime, I'll scroll back and forth to read the posts.

I'm really pleased with this site, a lot of good information posted here isn't there? I also noticed a number of fellow Canadians here.

The site was founded by Raptor who is from Scarborough, so it's 100% Canadian, but with many international members to spice it up.

I don't know what I could suggest to help with the screen problem, I use Internet Explorer and have never had a problem.

The job search is very slow, but I keep at it everyday.

Welcome! Always nice to see a BCer here. I'm close by Vancouver. Which part of Central BC are you from?

Hope you enjoy the forum. Looking forward to your posts!
