Default big wave from toronto

Hello everyone.

I see there are some people from Toronto already! I love this city. I think we are probably one of the most environmentally-concious cities out there and I'm glad to be part of it. I'm 21 years old and I study political science at the University of Toronto. I don't have too much of a background on environmental studies but I do have a research volunteer position at WWF in Toronto. Since my field of specialty is politics I am mainly stuck dealing with policy analyzing and statistics research. I love the position as it helps me be aware of the world and I know that with my help I'm making things better for wildlife and humans.

I grew up in a small country in Suriname (located in South America; above Brazil) and have lived close to wildlife and the rainforest for many years. I feel at peace with nature and have been brought up that way. I moved here a few years ago to attend school and although the weather was hard to love; I learned to cope with it fairly quickly.

I am a vegetarian and I hope to become a vegan sometime in the near future once I have a higher income! (Vegan food is quite expensive!)

Well, I don't want to drag this too long. If you have any questions about me or would just like to talk you can email me at

Hi Emaleth,

Glad to hear you're volunteering for such a great organization. I'm with Green Students Fundraising, its my full-time job trying to help out. If you're a vegetarian, I'd suggest going to Karma Coop at Dupont and Bathurst, it has lots of options for vegans.

Keep well.
Corey
