Well, keep watching the stats over the next few days, and if traffic is coming from HitSafari then it's working, and it's because of the banner link. I will also post the website URL and see if that helps too.

So the banner has only received 1 click since posting it, but it's been viewed more than 17,000 times.

I'm thinking maybe an animated banner would work nice if you could swing it. I have no way to tell if anyone's coming to the site from the surf pages, but I do know that the banner is not working.

Let me know if you can do an animated banner with more info on it. If it's an attention grabber, people will come.
