Does anyone else think that the reason for the war in Iraq is STILL going mainly because of the oil resource over there?

Well the funny thing is that people think (and are being told) that the oil resource is running out. This is not true, the "cheap" oil resource is, however most of the worlds oil remains in the frozen parts of the world such as alaska and canada and it is trapped in a layer of permafrost. There is plenty of it there but it is more expensive to extract and that is why gas prices have been on the rise. Yes i do believe the war is still going on due to that because the government wants the cheap oil resource instead of the expensive one....So wrong so wrong.

I am sure that the sole reason behind the war is oil. As shinji says...the government wants the cheap oil resource and become all the more powerful....
