Well at least they know how to choose a good title for a book, eh? I kept this "local organic food" thing in mind when I was shopping on Saturday. It really isn't so hard to do at all.

You know, I was really making an effort to eat local for a while, even with my allergy-restricted diet, and I could see lots of justification for it. More recently, however, I saw an article about how eating local can deprive growers in the developing world of an important source of income. I will still opt for local if it's really a local specialty, but I may rethink being too strict about local only.

Thanks for that link, I heard something on the news about the Fife Diet, the person interviewed said that it took more time to prepare the food, but they had seen their food bills go down, that has to be an incentive in these difficult times.

I think many people would be happy to trade extra preparation time for lower food bills, times are hard just now.

I would be happy to make that trade, I read a lot about it since you posted the link and I think it would be a good thing to try in my area.
