Baby recipes?
Hi all
Does anyone have any ideas for baby recipes that are healthy/organic of course? My daughter is ten and a half months old. We are raising her as a vegetarian as we are. Any ideas?
Thank you for any help.

Re: Baby recipes?
My kids always liked squash that was oven baked. A little brown sugar on top to crisp it up and then cube it up when cooked. Yummy finger food.
Of course, yam fries. Put whatever seasoning you need on it. Pasta is always a good idea. I had posted previously about organic Mac and Cheese. She may be a tad too young for the cheese portion. However, she can have the organic pasta. If I think of anything else, I'll let you know!
Are you finding it diffult to raise her as a vegetarian or it's just so much a part of your life that it's just second nature?

Thank you for those ideas.
Raising a vegetarian kid can be just as challenging as a meat eating one. They have their fussy days too.
I have tried sweet potatos which she has loved. There are so many baby organic packaged foods out. I know they mean well but (yikes!) so expensive.
Thanks for the yam idea.I will try that next.

Re: Baby recipes?
I always gave my little ones veggie burgers. My youngest likes the patty with some cheese on it. Then I cut it up into bite sized pieces.

I guess that would totally make sense EviesEarth. Never even thought about it.
Danielle, how is the eating going for your little one?

My kids also love stir fry made with tofu. I make it with lots of veggies, tofu and sometimes serve it on brown rice. My youngest boy, he is 3, loves tofu.

Re: Baby recipes?
Non-bitter vegetables are great for kids. Most kids are sensitive to the bitter tones in dark leafy greens, but think sweet potatoes, corn, lima beans... there are lots of healthy veggies that are kid-friendly.

I haven't seen these in my supermarket yet, but they sound like a great idea.
I'll have to see if I can find them. Do they actually taste like chicken or are
they just shaped/prepared like nuggets?
