Just heard this story, but have no link right now. I heard this morning they have come out with something that lets you power your cell phone while walking. They said 1 minute of walking = 20 minutes cell phone talking time! Wow! Anyone find any links please put them here. Thank you!

This is a great concept! Especially for people that are not very active. It is a great incentive to get up and get walking!

I walk over half an hour every day to and from work and I was getting a bit excited when I read this but it doesn't look like it is too portable just yet, more at the trial stage. Great idea though!

This is a great idea. I'd love to be able to use this because I walk around to get to quite a few places. It would be a great thing too to see that your cell phone was running low and instead of plugging it into the wall you just have to get up and go for a walk. I hope this develops well.

I hope this happens! Even though it would be little by little, you would be saving the electric energy it takes to charge the phone and after awhile the savings would be considerable.

Right now I don't have a car so this would be pretty cool to me. I walk everywhere. Pretty cool idea.

What else can the cell phone do? Let's see, access the Internet, text, play music, play videos, play movies, be a calculator, play games, recharged by walking, used as a GPS locator, etc. Whatever happened to just using it as a telephone? oh, wait a minute, that's one of its users as well. I was always taught that the telephone is not a toy. I guess it's changed nowadays.

Especially with the warm weather around the corner, this would be such a fantastic thing when its developed. This winter my hubby found a really nice and expensive exercise bike that we got for a steal and I ride it for 30 min each day. It's great fun but my mind has been wandering and thinking about being able to walk soon! I'm afraid I have walking on the brain!
