A really innovative system that uses actual sunlight and optical cables to provide natural solar lighting for rooms.

Clever thinking to use the solar light directly instead of collecting it with solar panels, converting it to electricity, and then using the electricity to power a light bulb. I did think it ironic that the system needs a 9v battery to run though, they cant get that much energy through solar power or by hooking into the existing power grid of the building?

yep I remember seeing this program before good find... maybe the 9v battery is just a jump start for the system...

Wow thats pretty cool. They might even draw a small niche of tourism, I'd be interested in seeing that in the winter.

ya it is... next time I'm heading to Europe I'm definitely going to make a list of things to see... there is soo much going on in terms of alternative energy it's quite amazing...
