Tata Nono
There was a media frenzy in India when they introduced their new car called the "Tata Nono" . It is supposed to cost approximately $2500 and gets 60 miles to the gallon. But apparently it does nothing for the environment. It is very small and will fit 5 people and it is a 4-door.

Re: Tata Nono
Have not heard of this new car. Sounds interesting. I wonder why they did not try to green it up more? Great gas mileage though and very inexpensive.

Re: Tata Nono
I have not heard of it either, it is a shame they didn't green it more as well. But for 2,500 for a new car that gets 60mpg I would buy it.

Re: Tata Nono
I know what you mean. It would be fantastic to be over by a car that she that China gas mileage. But I have not heard anything more than what I saw on the news.

I read an article about that car right here on this website. It sounds a little too good to be true and I'm always skeptical about those types of things.

Re: Tata Nono
I read about this somewhere but cannot remember where. I to wish it was more green but you cannot beat that mileage. I seen a picture of it and fitting five people to me in it looked like a stretch. I would like to see the safety tests done on this car. Has anyone heard anything on the actual safety of it?

Re: Tata Nono
I saw a pic of it on the web. It kind of looks like a glorified golf cart in my opinion. If the roads had nothing but Tatas on it I think it would be fine; but if a normal size car or, God forbid, an SUV or truck hit it, everyone inside would be toast! The price is right, though...!

Re: Tata Nono
I don't know about this car but I recently bought a Smart car - and I love it. I get about 60 to the gallon and I only pay £35 road tax a year because of its low emissions. My last car was a fiesta and only did about 35 to the gallon and cost £124 for car tax. It looks a bit quirky, like half a car, but is very roomy inside and will cruise along about 65 mph.

Re: Tata Nono
These cars seen one yet. I think the Tata Nono is cute. Even if it is a glorified golf cart it is cute. But then again, I don't have a big family so I don't need a big car.

Re: Tata Nono
I heard about this car, but it seems to be really small. One main thing is it isn't environmental friendly. Most of them are really preferring to go for this, I don't think there is any AC inside too, am I right?? Weather and population in India is too much, but it really is an affordable price for any middle class family too.
