Here is a very clever gadget, thatwill give you an idea of how much impact you are personally having on the world around you. It also gives you the opportunity to offset some or all of your footprint.

I worked out mine and came to 6.85 tonnes per year.. which is apparently quite good, because the UK national average is 9.8 tonnes per year, putting us pretty high up in the tables of most efficient countries. Although I do quite well, by filling in the details, especially in the 'secondary footprint' area, it has highlighted areas where I could do better, so I am aiming to get down to below 6 by the end of the year.

The US national average per person is a whopping 20.4 tonnes per year.. How do you compare?

Mine was 3.919 which is very good for the US apparently. I'm not doing too bad at all I'm glad to see. Thanks for the link, stav, an interesting tool you found there.

Great tool. I'm shocked to think that my carbon footprint is much smaller than I thought. Sheesh and here I thought I was horrible!

i am still improving... i am now on 5.122... which for a city girl is pretty good methinks... still working on it though!

that is a great tool there although it will take me some time to get the exact data and then get my foot print...but this is actually wondrful in knowing where we stand....
