Some dogs tend to bury their crap MollyL in the place where I stay, but not sure why some other dogs don't tend to do it.

Throwing it out doesn't seem harmful as it just ends up in the landfill where it stands a better chance of decomposing more easily than a lot of the waste left there.

It is easy to throw the crap in the dustbin rather than using it for something else as I don't know the exact use of it.

I'm lucky that we live in the country. Our dog's "do their business" and then my husband mows over it when he mows the lawn. Instant fertilizer!

In England we have to pick it up if they 'go' while out, we have little bags for it and there are lots of red 'doggy bins' just for dog dirt, I don't know what happens to it. At home if the dog goes in the garden I pick it up and flush it.

I never thought dog crap was "environmentally unfriendly. We just mow it over and fertilize our lawn with it.

Yes, I suppose that's one advantage of living in the countryside, but we do have to pick it up in the city or pay a fine. I suppsoe if we have to pick it up in a bag anyway, why not carry it back to our little gardens and bury it there.

after we moved to our new house in more of a counry setting i no longer have to worry about it... but the best way i found was digging a nice sized hole and filling it almost to the top with crap and then the last inch of two i pushed the dirt back on it... worked good with our small yard and really fertilized the shrubs i did it next to!

throughing anything out to go to the landfill that can be otherwise recycled is never a good idea... landfills our filling up at exponential rates and will soon become a major problem for some cities... did u know that New York city ships their trash over 2 states away!!
