I am starting an envirmonmental field journal, and I would like your suggestions and help. So far i plan to have it set up as folows.

First few pages=table of contents
Next few pages= abbervations translations
Bulk of the pages= my observation
last few pages= apendix

should I add other sections?

Things i might observ. Date time temp weather, changes in an area, unsualitys, field sketches, all 5 senses,observations and interpitaiont, animals and plants, etc.....

What else should i observ and write or drawn in my field journal? I should probably pick up a few field guides shouldnt i?

Guides are always good, but remember to rely mostly on your senses and your observations. In the end, it's a journal, and your journal at that. The scientific parts of it and the statistics are great, but I know I'd be most interested in your feelings, emotions and reactions.
