Default Making Your Own Paint?

Does anyone know if you can make your own wall paint? Someone I know was saying that you can and that it was greener. I have never heard of this yet.

I don't know how but that would be great. I'm sure you already know that water-based paints are at least more eco-friendly than the others? I even splattered some in my eye and rinsing quickly seemed to be enough. Water-based doesn't smell as bad as the others and it dries faster.

I know natural dyes are used to color fabrics but whethe they can be used to paint walls aI am not sure...these are made from naturally available flowers, indigo etc.

Yes, you can make your own milk paint. Try doing a search for it. I have seen places where they give the recipe and others where you can buy it already made. This is what I am going to do the next time we need to paint.

Not sure how durable or long lasting it is. I do know that is how they used to paint barns and such long ago.
I would imagine, if you make it yourself it would last less than something bought.

I heard somewhere about making paint from flour; I could see that that might give better coverage and last a bit longer than dyes. Perhaps flour and dyes are combined.
