I've been using liquid detergent in cold water for several years and I'm quite pleased with the results. Only rarely do I need to resort to warm water for a stubborn load of clothes. I've also learned, courtesy of a handyman who repaired washing machines, that I can use a bit less detergent than is recommended and still get fine results.

I use cold water detergent for a while now..and I must say it works well.
Normally I use a softener as well, but with this cold water detergent it's not necessary anymore.

I still use softener, but am not using the cold water stuff anymore. My husband did the shopping last time and didn't pick it up.

I'll have to do it next time.
