Exclamation Looking at a vehicle for my business....

So, at some point in the next year I am looking at starting my business. It's a long process and I'm finding it hard to get the funding I need for it.

But, in time, it will come, and when that happend, I'll need to purchase a vehicle for my business. Actually it looks like I'll need 2 vehicles.

First I'll need a pickup truck with reliable towing capacity. Then I will need a spacious passenger van, probably something to fit maybe 10 passengers, maybe more, I'm not sure yet.

So I need some recommendations for trucks and vans that are fuel efficient and will last me for many years. The truck will have to tow heavy trailers so it will need to be a fair size, but easy enough for me to drive. I'm 5'1" and haven't driven anything bigger than a 2 door GMC Jimmy, 91' model.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

the work vans my company use are ford f250.. six cylinder so the fuel usage isn't to bad. full size pickup that is doing some serious towing, i would definatly look into a diesel engine.. although they cost more to buy they run forever.. what kind of buisness are u looking to start if u don't mind me askin?

Ironically, agriculture. But a slightly different kind. I need to be hauling horses, so I need something that will have enough power to haul a large trailer. I just hope I don't have to think about a big rig for this business. The nightmare would be finding someone who could drive it.

My problem would be if I purchase 10 horses from one place, I wouldn't get them all to my property in one trip. The place I'm thinking of does have a big rig, I saw it when I was there a couple of years ago. I guess I have to start small first.

Can you give me some pointers on day to day runnings of a farm? All the books in the world can't take the place of first hand knowledge. I'd appreciate any info.

You might want to take a look at which cars/trucks offer flex fuel here is a list

http://www.aboutmyplanet.com/environ...-fuel-car-list

with ethanol being more and more available it's probably something you should keep in mind..

Thanks Raptor. I'll look through the list. I've found a mighty fine piece of land, but am not sure if I can share the photo. I'll find out later from the person I sent it to.

I remember that list. Lot's of choices there and much research to do in that regard. What's a girl to do? Ask for advice, that's what!

Thanks for the list again, it will be helpful in deciding what I need.
