Keeping deer away from my car
So, what do you all do to keep deer as well as other animals away from your vechicle when driving during the night? There must be another way then just bright lights and the horn...

My father in law has this little plastic piece that you can buy at camp/outdoor stores. You strap it to the front of your car. When you're driving, air gets forced through it creating a really high pitched whistle that only the animals can hear and they avoid your car as they hate the sound. I'll see if I can find what it's called.

That device that Peachy mentioned really works. You should be able to find them at Canadian Tire.

What a great idea! A friend of mine lives in Alberta and wildlife often wander into the town in which she lives. She was driving one day and a moose ran in front of her car. The impact of her car hitting it threw it still kicking through her front windshield and the kicking shattered her leg. Peachy, I would love to pass that info on to her when you find out what it is called.

Re: Keeping deer away from my car
Do some research before buying, I saw something on TV where they did tests of those, some of the devices were attached to cars that drove right past pens full of deer without the animals even flinching or lifting an ear.
