I have always tried to buy local. The food is not only better but I love the idea that I am helping the local community. I agree with the cloth bags also. We have four that we take with us whenever we go to the store. I figure in the end each time I go that is four less plastic bags the I am not using.

Now, if we just get the rest of the world to do the same thing, we will probably put plastic bag production in the hole.

We are currently planting a garden with tons of vegetables. We usually can enough tomatoes to get us through the winter and we make lots of salsa.
We have been using eco sense cleaning supplies and laundry detergent. All the supplies and detergents are concentrated so we use less plastic containers and they will not harm the environment.

Since plastic is so damaging to our tiny planet, I've opted to bring my own reusable bags to the grocery store.
