Default First Project of the season

So I started our first project of the growing season to increase our self sufficiency. My goal with this project was to go as green and frugal as possible in order to make the most return out of it. My orginal idea was to use 2x6's for the border but I was able to get these scraps from a small local saw mill down the road from me. They are just the sides of the logs they can't use. The stakes are even scraps from the same place. I did use some screws in the process but I already had those, my 3 and 5 year old helpers had a hard time holding things in place so I used some screws to help out. I probably won't get anything else done on it for a couple weeks when I am going to bring some soil in as there is no usable soil here. I have post a couple pics.

Can't wait to see what it looks like later in the season.
