What if we built solar panels and placed them in space?

Lets look at it more ,

It would orbit our planet and be able to power itself ( Just like most satellites ) Yet make it possible to charge massive batteries and use them for other needs.

I mean that be crazy if we set up solar panels on the moon? I mean that be great but cleaning would be a problem lol

Anyone have some tips? it be nice?

Sorry...I'm lost. What specifically would you be using the solar panels to power? If it's another satellite, I'd be concerned. Lots of junk out there already. But that's just me...and maybe I don't understand what you're asking. =)

ahh i know what you're going after but there is one small problem. We are, as of yet, unable to make a "Solar Battery" If we could then we could depend completely on Solar power. one could leave their car out in the day and have enough battery power to last months!. But unfortunately we can not do it yet. Sorry to burst your bubble dreads.

I was thinking like we bascily make like a station on the moon and place bunch of solar panels then try to make like a massive power plant lol and then send the engery back to earth ..

Wow would we send to earth by a concentrated Laser beam. ? Most of the energy produced by us has to be transported to its point of use. The real energy lost is during transportation. Its better to use it where it is made, if at all possible while being made. Could a solar car that stored energy by turning a solar steam generator work.? The longer the car sat the more the battery would be charged.

Yea but we could like.. just drop the cells and let them land in an ocean or something lol

LoL how would you transport it back to earth? Like maybe you could transport it back to earth through LIGHT and make it highly concentrated, oh wait... THATS BASICALLY WHAT THE SUN IS DOING =/

They do, but he's talking about taking that energy and sending it back to the planet. Which means rechargable batteries and space missions, or really long cables.
