Has anyone seen this anywhere? I saw a post on hugg.com about it... something about capturing wind energy with kites cool idea don't know if it's implemented anywhere...

As far as I am aware it's still in the simulation stage. It would supposedly generate as much as a nuclear power plant at 1/50th of the cost.

Looks a little grandiose for my tastes. i wonder where these things are going to be built, and who's going to pay the huge capital investment at this stage for an untested power source. (sorry about the pessimism)

Well judging from those articles someone already has and intends to have it working withing 2 years so I guess we will find out. I think its worth trying.
