I'd buy one in a heartbeat! Imagine what a great innovation at ballparks during high summer when the heat is beastly. By the way, doesn't spring training start next month?

Goodness me how annoying that would be at a UK football match!

For nifty gadgets, you can't go wrong with this one. Solar Powered Battery Charger, SOLIO Universal Portable Solar Charger All of us in our company were given one as a personal gift at Christmas by the Company President. A lot of us were all 'what sort of a present is that'. Perhaps assuming that it was instead of the usual bonuses etc. But it was in fact something extra, and even came in its own unbleached cotton bag instead of wrapping paper. Something which has come in useful for bringing my lunch in, or carrying my book for reading on the train.

It really works, and you can charge it up and carry it with you (its quite compact and folds up) so if your iPod fails while you are out somewhere, you can immediately charge it up!

I really like the solar power fan as I think that would be great with all of the driving I do in the summertime and using the air conditioner all of the time. This would be a wonderful use of solar energy. The speakers are great as well and I do see myself using them.

A solar reflector used as a water purification system for third world/ remote applications where H2O purity is needed and obtained from a solar distiller. I'm trying to encourage someone to get a small production facility right here in the US where the resources are available for production of such a simple design so that it can be exported to places of need. its a no brainer, with income potential, not to mention the Karma.

I like my solar grill light. Sits out in the sun charging all day and works great when I need it.

Reading through this thread has made it clear that there are many products that could run on solar energy. I hope manufacturers will make more use of it in their future plans.

You can run your house on solar with panelsand a battery bank with a inverter. So it makes sense that these little items can be run. The reason solar is not being used any more than it is is because the companies that produce solar panels are jacking up the prices so far.

I too like the idea of gifting solar gadgets. This also helps in spreading the awareness of energy conservation among the people.

Now a days mobile companies are going green. Sumsung have plans to release first solar powered cell phone called Blue Earth. More info on Samsung Blue Earth - solar-powered cell phone | Mobile Phone Reviews, Cell Phone News

You can have a look at some useful tips on solar electricity for home. Overall, it gives you all options necessary to build a safe and non-toxic home for you and the environment.
