Default Toronto, getting more solar as time goes on

In my travels throughout the city I'm seeing more signs of the city going solar.

It's great to see this.

The first one I'd ever seen was on a fire station on Runnymede Rd in the Annex area of the city. The station has about 6 panels on the south exposure of the roof.

Of course, we must have all seen the various areas on Bloor Street west that are using solar, and the parking meters as well.

Up on Danforth, I can't remember exactly where, but it's a health food store, there's a solar panel on the roof of their building too.

I mentioned once before about the house off of Mccowan Rd, north of Brimorton. The roof has solar panels, and there are 2 stand up panels in the back yard as well.

It would be nice to see more of the city going solar though, it would help.

I forgot about those. I'm not sure what exactly they power, and I don't drive the DVP much so I easily forgot about them.

I forgot about a place I pass by all the time, at Kingston Rd and Midland Ave there's a building with a panel on it's roof as well.

Having panels on slanted roofs looks more pleasing than the stand up panels I've seen on some buildings. Those ones stand out like sore thumbs, they just look out of place.

But definitely need more solar out there.

I was driving downtown yesterday on Queen Street and noticed for sure that Ontario Paint and Wallpaper has solar panels in the yard.

They face south so at first it was hard to know for sure that they were panels. The south exposure I guess would give them more energy and that's a good thing as long as they can store it all.

I'm going to be driving more in the summer to more places and hopefully I'll see more solar in residental and commercial settings.

I've seen solar water heaters on roof tops of a few houses, I don't recall the areas I've seen them in, but it's nice to see that as well.
