What you are missing is the cost. You would need a whole lot of solar panels to run your A/C. I would guess you are looking at $20,000 in panels to do what you are talking about. That's a wild guess though. The more informed here should give you a better idea than me. If you could just have enough panels so your meter doesn't move or turns backward a little when the A/C is not running, you would be doing pretty good. It takes a whole lot of electricity to run that A/C.
