Re: Specifics & Ideas for the website
I'm sure that would work. It's just a pain in the .... to scroll up when there's many long posts in a topic. It would be nice to save a little time. Can you still keep the one at the top and just add one to the bottom?

Re: Specifics & Ideas for the website
Sounds good, but no rush. I'm sure others will like it as well, and hopefully appreciate it as much as I will.

Well this would be an undertaking in itself but the future is also in the children. If you pull them in when they are younger it becomes a site to refer back to and grow with and maybe reshape some of the thinking out there in regards to the environment. You have to be taught you know. This would be a great site for students to research and a section just for younger children would draw in a whole other group into the site.
Another huge thing that draws people in are FREEBIES. Something as simple as free downloadable screensavers or games to win a free tshirt that then advertises the site out in the real world with a logo and web address on them. That works like a charm sometimes. Some will only come for the freebies to begin with and then end up liking the site when they find it and stay or join and they post it on other sites or tell friends. I have a lot of ideas running around in my head...

Raptor does hold contests sometimes, only open to regular members, not him or myself, as it's not fair if we win the prizes.
Maybe another referal contest is in due order don't you think? We only have 4 members that have refered people here. Many come in on their own, but they don't really stay. Come to think of it, some refered members don't do much either.
But yeah, freebies usually work.
I'm on a couple of paid to post forums, and you wouldn't believe how many people join these due to greed. It's unbelievable.
Well Raptor, you and I need to brainstorm some options then. I do have a few ideas, but you're the boss and it's up to you.

Don't ask me, Raptor made up the term. I however, can change my title to whatever I want to. Actually, I can change anyone's title as long as it's reasonable.
Before I got my moderator position, Raptor promoted me to Supreme TreeHugger.
When you become a senior member, I'll change your title if you want.

It's just a standard forum title like junior member is.
Those are the only titles we have here, but I think custom titles should be allowed for those who are active here.
That sounds like a good idea for a contest.
Congrats on refering a new member. Keep it up.

we'll be looking to give people a lot more control in the future, right now all my efforts are going to promoting the main site and our community I wish I didn't have to work full time
