I would like to donate some money to the cause but i dont have a credit card. Any chance the payment types could be broadened to maybe maestro, switch etc. im sure you'll get far more donations if you can.

The reason why we use paypal is because it's very secure and millions of people use it everyday. With other systems there is potential for fraud and we're trying to make it as easy for everyone as possible.

Hey I understand. It's just difficult for some people who don't have a credit card and cant use Paypal.

What's the issue with the funding being so low? Is it because the site hasn't had enough exposure or is it that people don't care to donate?

I think just people don't realize how much time it takes... it's hard for someone to do this... right now every night and weekend go into this website for me but I'm hoping that in the long run I can develop it to a level where more and more people will find it easier on the internet and get regular readers that will drive more ad revenue and I'll be able to do this full time... seems like you're in a way chasing your own tail...

ps Paypal allows people to link the bank account directly too so it's very easy to transfer money in or out...

I've got a paypal account through my fiance, so any money coming from me is really coming from him. Just wait and watch the donation amount go up, and when it does, know that it's coming from me. I'm not going to say how much it will be, but it will help. Oh and do you provide tax receipts for donations?

Keeping this idea in mind, how about a contest for those who donate to this cause? Well, those on the forum anyway. I'd be in the running that's for sure. Just a thought.
