A buck (us$1) and a bit of your time....
I guess this could be considered volunteering.
OneBuckforthePlanet.org
I just found this yesterday and what a simple concept. I've done other volunteering but I like the concepts here, being able to see your differenence long after joining and supporting super reputable environmental organizations.

I will have to check into this more but I think this is a unique idea and they have a lot of good causes they are supporting. Thanks for sharing this one.

Yes, thank you for the link. I like the idea of saving the world one buck at a time. Now I can just get my cheap friends to dole out that buck. I better get to work! :-)

Hopefully it was a vacation and not work, greenbean! But I'm a little bit confused. Join your ripple? I didn't know you were a purple of fact. :-) Please explain.

That looks like a really good idea. It wouldn't load for me at first so I was afraid that the site had closed, but it's working now, so yay!

Re: A buck (us$1) and a bit of your time....
An awesome idea. Sometimes people don't realize exactly the distance a little bit of effort (or a little bit of money) can travel. I think things like this will really get people to understand that they can make a difference. Sometimes people don't bother volunteering or donating because they don't think what they have to offer is enough: but in the end, any little bit is more than nothing.

That is very true, every little bit helps. The problem with people is that they do not see the end results most of the time. That is why most people do not volunteer or donate.
